It has been announced that popular Fortnite streamer Clix is finally set to receive his own Icon Series skin. Clix will be joining creators including Ninja, SypherPK, Ali-A, Nick Eh 30, Lachlan, and Lazarbeam, being the select few to become immortalized in the game.
Clix’s new Icon Series skin will feature two styles. The first will feature the streamer wearing a suit, ready to spend the day shaking hands on business deals as co-owner of XSET. The second is more casual wear that you will typically see him wear when he’s competing in front of tens of thousands of viewers on his Twitch channel.
This gamer style will include a set of gaming glasses, and players will soon be able to wear them while jumping from the Battle Bus as the latest Fortnite Icon.

Clix is set to receive his Fortnite Icon Series skin on March 22nd, which will also see the Sparkplug skin receive its own revamp as the business-suit-wearing Sparx. This marks the first time that a skin associated with a creator has been revamped as part of the Icon Series.
Players can also compete for a chance to earn the skin early by competing in the Clix Icon Cup on March 21st. To prepare, players can hop into two new Fortnite Islands to practice their skills ahead of the tournament by using the following codes. 9730-2169-8778 and 9662-6442-7358.
But one of the most exciting parts of the Clix Icon Series skin announcement is that fans of the streamer can wear the same outfit while playing Fortnite as he has teamed up with Gunnar to release the Clix Gaming Googles.
The Clix Gaming Googles are blue light glasses that help to prevent eye strain while using screens such as a monitor, TV, or mobile phone.
These square-style glasses, crafted from a hybrid of PEP (Premium Engineered Polymer) and stainless steel, combine cutting-edge technology with gamer-approved style.
The Clix Gaming Googles feature “Gunnar’s patented lens technology, the Clix Gaming Goggles provide unparalleled blue light protection, reduce eye strain, and enhance contrast for crystal-clear visuals, giving you a competitive edge in any gaming session.”

The square amber-tinted lenses look incredibly stylish and come with prescription or non-prescription options, meaning that players with eyesight difficulties will be able to wear them while getting the benefit of blue light glasses. This could make them wearable as everyday glasses rather than swapping them just when gaming.
With the Clix Icon Series skin hitting the Fortnite Item Shop on March 22nd, players have time to secure their own pair ahead of its release as, according to the Gunnar website, the Gaming Googles will begin shipping on March 20th. Players can grab their own pair for just $74, making them incredibly affordable when compared to regular prescription glasses.
Taking a look at their website, it looks like Gunnar has worked with many other brands on various collaborations. Some of the current gaming collabs include Diablo IV, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Fallout, and Call of Duty.
As a non-glasses wearer, although that may change soon as my eyesight is starting to get blurry in my old age, I have always shied away from even wearing blue light glasses. I did have a pair from Amazon once and they weren’t stylish at all and didn’t last long. But, I really like the look of these and may have to try blue light glasses again soon, especially with me sitting in front of my laptop all day writing all of these stories for you to read here at Nerd Talk.
