Fortnite Reload came as a surprise to many when it was released last year, after having quietly been put together by Epic Games in just one month.
The high-action game mode puts players onto a smaller remixed map, which brought back the Chapter 1 map as a permanent fixture to the game before Fortnite OG launched.
As with the Chapter 1 map, the Chapter 2 map is set to receive the same treatment next month, but many popular locations are missing and it could lead to a lot of disappointment among players.

In a video shared by HYPEX, we can see what the Fortnite Reload Chapter 2 map will look like, as well as a first look at the included POIs and landmarks.
In the video, we see many POIs that players will immediately recognize, including Dirty Docks, Slurpy Swamps, and Steamy Stacks, as well as landmarks such as the waterfall and lumber factory.
However, these many landmarks that can be found come at the expense of many popular POIs that players would expect to find on the map.
Locations such as Sweaty Sands are nowhere to be found, along with my favorite POI, Holly Hedges. With the map being much smaller than the original, and more of a remixed version, many locations have to be cut.
We saw this with the Chapter 1 Reload map, which excludes multiple locations including Lucky Landing, Wailing Woods, and Fatal Fields, but does include POIs such as Tilted Towers and Pleasant Park.
But, when it comes to the Fortnite Chapter 2 Reload map, it feels that much more is missing than is included. Lazy Lake and Misty Meadows remained among the most popular POIs in the game, especially for those wanting high-action early games, and were often seen as “sweaty” locations.
Chapter 2 Season 2 brought with it one of the most iconic POIs that we’ve seen in Fortnite’s history, and one that players will be itching to land at again, The Agency. Unfortunately, Midas’ hangout is missing from the new map, which will come as a disappointment to many players.
The Reload maps do receive updates so it will be interesting to see whether any other POIs are added at a later date, but it looks like players will have to wait for Fortnite OG to reach Chapter 2 before landing at these locations once again.
Fortnite Reload Chapter 2 is set to launch on April 15th, giving players a new map to play on while they wait for the Battle Royale’s Chapter 6 Season 2 to conclude on May 2nd.
Then, Season 3 is set to begin which is said to be one of the shortest in Fortnite‘s history and will be Star Wars-themed.
But, if Star Wars isn’t your thing, Epic Games has recently teamed up with Warner Bros. to bring classic Mortal Kombat characters to Fortnite, to go alongside Sub-Zero who is the level 100 skin this season.
