New Jack is one of the most polarizing wrestlers to ever step in the ring. Throughout his career, New Jack was known for his hardcore style, which involved him regularly using weapons such as guitars, vacuum cleaners, golf clubs, and even Wolverine-style claws.
Despite a storied career, New Jack never wrestled in front of a WWE audience on TV due to his unpredictable nature putting off the executives at the company. Although he never wrestled for the promotion, players will be able to see him step in a WWE ring virtually as he is set to be added to WWE 2K25 later this year.
The inclusion of New Jack in WWE 2K25 is an unexpected addition due to him not being associated with WWE. But it turns out that one key figure in the company is a huge fan, WWE President Nick Khan.

In an interview with PW Insider, WWE 2K25‘s producer Bryan Williams revealed that WWE President Nick Khan pushed for New Jack to be included in the roster, which came as a surprise to the team at Visual Concepts.
“New Jack was a shock to all of us on the Visual Concepts and marketing side. New Jack was someone who I never expected would make it into our franchise. It’s funny because it was actually Nick Khan who recommended or suggested that we add New Jack as DLC.
When I heard that information from my marketing rep I was like, ‘Really?’ They were like, ‘Oh yeah, he’s a big fan.’ I believe he’s working on the paperwork to make this thing a reality. That was a huge surprise. Talk about a curveball, that thing came out of not left field, that came out of a different game altogether.
So I’m really excited to have New Jack be a part of the game this year and we have some really cool things planned for New Jack.”
The Original Gangsta is best known for his time in ECW and Smokey Mountain Wrestling in the 90s, before stints in TNA, XPW, and various independent promotions throughout the 2000s and 2010s. New Jack’s career was full of violence, with his name being attached to numerous infamous moments in wrestling history.
Some of these include the Mass Transit Incident, allegedly attempting to murder Vic Grimes during an XPW show, the American Gangsta Crime Scene Incident, stabbing a wrestler nine times, and beating 70-year-old Gypsy Joe with a baseball bat during a match.
New Jack will be added to WWE 2K25 on July 23, 2025, as part of the Fearless Pack DLC, including Jordynne Grace, Penta, Bull Nakano, and a special celebrity guest to be announced.
WWE 2K25 will see five DLC packs released throughout 2025, bringing many current Superstars and legends to the game. Here is a list of all of the other Packs that will be included before the end of the year.

Sadly, New Jack won’t be able to see himself immortalized in WWE 2K25, as the former ECW star passed away in 2021 at the age of 58. However, this isn’t the first game that the hardcore legend has appeared in, with him appearing in ECW Anarchy Rulez and Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes the Neighborhood.
